At the neck, a flat collar lies close against the skin, while the front fastens through a concealed placket that hides the buttons beneath an unbroken run of fabric. Slant pockets sit low at an angle along the hip in the trench tradition, and a matching self-fabric belt with a leather buckle wraps the waist, either cinched for shape or left open for a looser drape.
